Adobe Creative Suite

Hi Guys,

I am working on Adobe Creative Suite 2. The application consists of a Setup.exe which install several other MSIs. I tried looking for one MSI which does the calling as a nested MSI installation. But i guess it is not present. But on second thoughts, I feel there should be one, as I did encountered the same thing is done by a Bootstrapping MSI in Adobe CS3.
I would appreciate if you guys could help.

Cheers

There's your mistake, right there: expecting consistency from vendors.

Given the many, many discussions here about creating stubs for installing multiple MSIs, rather than nesting them, my conclusion has to be - not unreasonably, IMV - that the EXE you have is exactly that - a simple stub which extracts and then runs MSIExec against those MSIs.

Hi Rajit,
do not CS2 know exactly, but several packages like PS, AI, etc.
They have all their own MSI, which in turn are calling sub-packages like Bridge, Help Center, Stock Photo, etc.
But they are no easy going at all.

Hello Friends,

Adobe CS2 has been cancelled by the client and now they'd be now sending Adobe CS3 [:D].

Cheers
