Incorrect samba share password

Hi,

I'm getting "Incorrect samba share password" when trying to upload KBE from SDA Media Manager to Kace SDA,

"Test SDA Connection" in "General Settings" was successful.

I have also tried resetting the samba password.

Any pointer on where to troubleshoot?

Thank you!

Hello KungfuNinja,

I am sorry that things have been rough for you to evaluate SDA. Even if you are using a trial license, you should be able to create a support case. If you agree, I can make it happen for Quest support engineers or Sales personnel to contact you. Just let us know the best way to reach you.

Mr. Hobbsy, thank you so much for your knowledge and great attitude!

Mauricio.

Log a ticket with support, if you have reset the password and then rebuilt your KBE the password will be embedded within the KBE and should be working, if it’s not, it’s not right

  • unfortunately, I'm on a trial license, and won't be able to get any support. I also not privy to some of the KB articles. It has been a challenge tying to evaluate this product for my organization. - KungfuNinja 1 month ago

Ok so what you need to understand is that the password needs to be set, then you need to build your KBE, that way the password is embedded in the boot environment.

I am happy to have a call with you to try and get this working, if that would help, just reach out, my email is in my profile
