Office 2013 SP1 Postinstallation upload fails. 2GB upload limit??

I have I have tride to upload a zipped file of Office 2013 x64 with SP1 as it was released not too long ago.  However when I upload the file in the k2000 it error out.  I read online that the limit is 2.0GB and the zipped file that I am uploading goes close to 2.5GB.  Is the kace 2000 still with the 2.0GB limit??? I am running 3.6.98680.

If there is a 2GB limit is there any way for me to install the patches of SP1 seperately???

The 2GB limit is inherent to the HTTP protocol, so until they come up with a different way of transferring files to/from the KBOXes, we'll be bound by that limit. We deploy Office from our K1000 using the Alternate Download Location (we just used the K1000's "client" share since it's set up for anonymous access by default). You could do something similar for the K2000, just have the post-install task as a batch file that copies the zip file over the network, unzips it, then runs setup.

  • I have an idea, I'll upload the Office 2013 installation, go into the shared and from there insert all the updates. I don't know if it will break the Post-Install or not, but it's worth a shot. - RaulC08 10 years ago
