Check that your connection accounts are configured in SCCM with account(s) that have local admin on your client machines. Configure your client agents to collect at the correct intervals. Set the update interval on your collection to a suitable time, or right click and select 'update collection' - it may be there but if the collection isn't set to update until next week you won't see it unless you run the update manaully.

This is all from memory as I'm not with a client that uses SCCM anymore.

If you're new to SCCM administration and there isn't a training course coming your way in the near future, then it would be worthwhile investing in a copy of 'Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager 2007' from Microsoft Press, written by Steven D. Kaczmarek with the Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager Team. - ISBN-13 978-0-7356-2385-9.

It's not a self study guide (there isn't one for SCCM), but a reference book and it's invaluable for working out this kind of question and many others.

Hope this helps,

Dunnpy

Something else I've noticed. If you have the SCCM manager open, then you make a change somewhere, you may have to close the manager and reopen it before you see the changes you made. This is especially true in the Windows Deployment Services manager window, but I have had it happen in the SCCM manager. Also, I will second Dunnpy's suggestion of the book. I have a copy of it and it has made many things easier to figure out -- it's also made some things more confusing, but that's why we have forums :)

IIRC, the SCCM console uses the MMC framework to display its results, meaning that dynamic updates just don't happen. In most add-ins, you press F5 to refresh a view. In the SCCM console, you can right-click on an object and normally find a 'Refresh' menu item.

Check the client status in control panel applet. Make sure you have a GUID and the proper site code. Uninstall/Reinstall the client.
Rating comments in this legacy AppDeploy message board thread won't reorder them,
so that the conversation will remain readable.
