Accessing KACE Samba share through windows

Issue: You cant access Samba share through windows, keep getting prompted for credentials.

 

Scenario: You double click one of the samba shares and get prompted with a password box, you enter Samba share credentials but keep getting access denied.

 

Reason: Windows is passing default machine or domain information with credentials.
Notice the Domain: of DELLKACE in login window without using \

 

Workaround: Enter your Samba credentials like this "\admin" to remove the added domain information and authenticate to Samba.
