BoxedApp SDK 2.1: a Unique Development Library for Creation of Virtual Portable Environment

January 11, 2010: Softanics company announces the release of BoxedApp SDK 2.1, a new version of a popular software development kit for application

virtualization. The supported functions allow emulating system registry and file system, creating virtual registry entries, files, keys and values. In

such virtual environment portable applications can run instantly without any installations. The library supports the most popular programming languages:

C++, C#, VB.Net, VB6, Delphi / Builder C++.

BoxedApp SDK is the only development library for emulating system registry that is so far available in the market. Using this library, the developer can

embed all .DLL and content files, ActiveX and .OCX components into a single .EXE file to keep them absolutely secure. The application will run without

unpacking these files to disk and without using any temporary files - the data will be unpacked to the memory and kept in virtual registry.

Using BoxedApp SDK can also ensure proper operation of applications when a user does not have administrator rights. The virtual registry and file system

exist along with the real ones and do not change them. Besides, the library can solve problems connected with ActiveX installation with the help of

virtual files and virtual registry entries. For example, a large product can load multiple ActiveX's from a single file.
