Recommended by several posts to resolve batch scripts that display the command prompt when run. This compiles batch scripts as an exe and allows hiding the window.

The link is currently working for me, but you can try going to http://www.f2ko.de/ and then choosing programs and using the scrolling arrows to get to the program there. (Terrible design choice, but the program should scroll by.) -
