K1000 v5.5 upgrade, wait or go ahead and do it?
Hi there everyone i have heard a lot of good and bad about the 5.5 upgrade process on this forum. Those of you who have recently upgraded has your experience been better than the early adopters? I don't have the time to deal with a failed upgrade so i am thinking of waiting to deploy it and wanted to know if it has gotten any better.

This is what Backups are for!
Make sure you follow the manual download guide and backup your database and actual Kbox and go for it.
I did not need any patches, as I was one of the lucky ones it seems (but I'm a small-medium company, only couple hundred pc's). Don't forget to update your KACE agents as well.

The new software catalog and metering capabilities were worth it for us. We have about 450 clients.
For all of the problems I've had I'd still upgrade. The new features are worth the issues. Just make sure you have all of the hotfixes ready to apply so you aren't affected by those issues.
