KACE Product Support Question

Access to K1000's Database Tables

08/12/2013 14144 views

By default, when a user (submitter) enters a ticket via email, they receive a return email stating that a support ticket has been entered. When a user enters a ticket via the user portal, they do not receive any email notification.

I am trying to create a custom ticket rule to respond to the submitter of a new ticket no matter the method of input. I am new to writing SQL queries, so I want to be able to see the various tables that are in the database. Currently, I am setting up MySQL Workbench to connect to our K1000. Is there anything that needs to be enabled on the Kbox to allow access?

You have to allow database access in the settings. You also will have to set a report user password.

Settings>Security Settings>Enable database access

Settings>General Settings>Report User Password

If you have Organizations:

System>K1000 Settings>Security Settings>Enable database access

System>Organizations>your org>Report User Password
