AdminStudio 15 Repackager including "Software Updates" for some reason

I have created a clean Windows 10 environment that I can revert to in seconds.

I am packaging ~20 apps. I am using "Remote Packager" to create my MSI.

I delete shortcuts and registry and others I don't want. Two pieces of software include Flexera's Flexnet Connect "Software Updates" software during MSI installation. For example, I have individual installs for a program for grades K-6. The only difference between these installs is the lesson plans. I change absolutely nothing in process, but this "Software Update" program for Flexera installs on K and 2nd, every time, without fail. I don't understand why it is being included during the MSI build.

Thoughts? I've found some reference to it if I open the MSI with InstallShield, but the 15,000 combinations of changes I have made just cause the MSI to fail.

Scripting to uninstall this software is unacceptable.

Thoughts?

they like to add a custom action in the project files, that runs the update service.

Have a look in installation designer, all the way at the top.

there is a general information, right below that.

Update notifications:
make sure that is NOT installed, ticked, enabled. Get rid of it.
