Snapshot it to see what has changed.

This is assuming you can:
A) After you register the product the registration nag goes away.
B) Turn off automatic updates via a check box.

After you have done the two actions above i reckon the keys will be stored in the registry somewhere, have a good hunt for it and see what you can came up with. You can do a snapshot to find it if you a "really" stumped.

Just had a look at the product, since you will have a licence give em a call for support.

You have to find what is changed on your PC after you Turn off the automatic updates.

For this I'm using 2 tools, Wise Package Studio and RegShot 1.9.0 (You can find it here: http://www.softpedia.com/progDownload/Reg-Shot-Download-1337.html)

Take a snapshot with RegShot first, this application is giving you very clearly the differences between 2 snapshots in Registry. If something is modified in registry between this 2 snapshots then you will see them in the log.

Once you have the results you have to find which modification is for Automatic Update, you can do this very easy, just open the Regedit go to the Registry Key and modify the value back to original. If the Automatic updates is enabled then you have found it. Now you only have to add it in the package or in the transform.

If the settings for AU are not saved in the Registry then you can use Wise Package studio for snapshotting the files from your computer. The process is the same as for Registry, you can use Wise for Registry also, but a lot of registry keys from Wise are captured.

Other tool for file and registry snapshotting is EMCO Package Builder, is not free but you can use it as trial. Here is the link: http://emcosoftware.com/msi-package-builder/download
