Asset Field Reporting

Is there an easy way to report on Asset Fields? As an example, within asset types > Device > Asset Fields we have multiple custom fields such as "Purchase Date" and "Lease". With that being said, I have been unable to filter our assets using a custom view (the asset fields are not present). I also connected directly to the DB and when joining the proper tables, I am receiving a permission issue for user R1.

If anyone has any insight as to how they report on EOL assets, or can assist with my current setup, it would be much appreciated.

Thank you!

In the Asset module, change the View By to the specific asset type. You will then be able to add your custom fields to the columns displayed.

You should also be able to create a report using the report wizard that will include the custom fields.

  • Hi Chuck, that worked. Thank you! I was also able to make the fields visible through inventory. I was unable to find those fields to report on using SQL Workbench or the wizard. - rruhl 3 years ago

I was able to report on these fields by making them visible within Inventory > Devices. From there, I exported the list to Excel and was able to filter my results.
