Automating the creation of reports and patch schedules

Hello, we use the Kace patch management for several customers via an appliance.

We have created a smart label for each customer which defines the machines / IP ranges. Furthermore, we create a separate patch window for each customer, as well as a separate detection and patch report.

I have to create / duplicate 4 things each so that I can "create" a customer. How would this be better solved? The Powershell addon that seems to exist doesn't seem to offer anything in the way of creating reports, labels, patch periods.

Are there any ideas or approaches that could help me?

I would use a multi orgs appliance (contact your sales rep to change the license if you have the standard version) with one org for one customer.
And then you can export the smart labels/reports from one org to another and just change the parameters you want.
Currently there is no Automation for that since all of these things are considered "not done permanently".
But you can request a feature using kace.uservoice.com

Nico makes a great suggestion, if you use ORGs you can separate your customers, which works great, particularly if you want to restrict which technicians have access to which customers......

however....

your question was about what you have to create, to create a new customer?

With ORGS you will need to create a fresh ORG for each new customer and then at a system level you will need to define the agent filters that will then direct traffic, from that customer to the correct ORG. Once that is done, you will still have to set up all the labels, patch schedules, reports etc or export from another ORG, import and then edit.....

Is that actually less work? I'm not sure it is and I would guard against jumping at that as a solution, as it may negatively impact your business.

Why not fire up another virtual SMA, ask your Quest rep for a multi org license code and get acquainted with the different menus, layout and challenges, then maybe decide what to do.
