Backslashes in the patch notification message.

My agents are seeing a backslash before every comma in the notification message. For example, it is configured:

Critical updates being installed. Do not reboot, shutdown, or close the laptop lid.

But it displays:

* Critical updates being installed. Do not reboot\, shutdown\, or close the laptop lid.

There's nothing in the documentation about needing to escape special characters. I can't be sure but I think this is new behavior. Anyone seeing the same in their environment?

I would recreate the schedule from scratch.  Dont duplicate it, create a new one and see if you have the issue. Im assuming this is the notification on the install portion of patching.  If these are Dell driver patches I would recommend you add the following:  Be advised, you may see temporary screen flashes and black windows open and close during this process.  This is normal, do not be concerned.  Or something like that.

avatar-star.png jlfrank,  What version of the SMA are you running?

You are correct. The code is trying to escape the commas. However, I believe this to be a cosmetic issue and not affect the functionality.

Once you provide the SMA and Agent version number, we can further investigate.
