Best way to resolve duplicate users?

Hello!  We setup our user authentication with LDAP.  Is there a clean way to resolve duplicate users?  We'd like to preserve associated tickets that might be attached to an old or incorrect user account.  Is there a way to merge or archive users?

  • To confirm: the reason you have duplicates is because users were created in the system before LDAP was configured? So you should need to delete duplicates once and that will take care of it?
