Can a process include multiple queues?

We currently have 2 queues and possibly expanding to more but at the moment we have an IT and a Telecom queue. We would like to create a process for creating a new user. We would like the process to have a child ticket created for IT to create a user account in AD, setup e-mail ... and then a second child ticket for telecom to setup a phone number for the user, VM, and install phone. Since IT and Telecom are 2 independent queues I am not sure if that is doable.

Thanks in advance

  • Yes you can use multiple queues in a process but you won't get the parent to send most of the information to a child task that's in a different queue. - Druis 7 years ago

As mentioned above you can create tickets in multiple queues during a process, you can also configure a ticket rule that takes the data from the parent ticket and copies it down into the child tickets. We have a UK customer for whom we configured exactly that functionality
