Can anyone help?*** KACE Agent Connection
Good day, I need to verify the methods of communication via the agent and server for the KACE appliance. As far as i understand the server and agent talk to each other via a fully qualified domain or within the same IP Range. Does the agent contact the server within "check in" time or does the server initiates the conversation? I am asking because the devices will be using a dynamic IP addressing. If the agent is looking for the static server address it should not be a problem. Am I correct?

The clients look for the DNS name for the server. That should be static and assigned in DNS. The clients can be dynamic.
That is correct. The agent will always look for the static ip of the server. but the clients can be assigned a different ip everytime.
