can't find boot device after re-imaging
Hi
On some Dell models we have issue where the OS is not loading unless I select "Boot from local hard drive" in the KBE PE. (from PXE boot)
We used the best practices tasks provided by Kace to Pre-Installations: (DISK) Create BIOS/UEFI Partitions and mid levels task.
Not sure where it breaks...
after deploying image successfully it reboots in the dell diagnostic screen.

If chainload is taking care of the boot process, then your BIOS is unable to find a compatible boot option.
Probably you are deploying Legacy Images to Pure UEFI Devices?

Please post more information about this issue:
-WHat partitions were captured?
-Was this captured in Legacy or UEFI mode?
-When you are about to image, Are you booting your KBE in Legacy or UEFI mode?
-What are the PRE and MID level tasks being used?
-What is the brand and model of the device?

You could also turn of chainloading in Settings > General Settings, and switch to Boot from local HDD.
BUT if your BIOS is not capable of loading a boot sector on it's own, Windows is never going to load.

I followed the step from this article

The systems are Del optiplex 3070
These images usually work with other systems.
It’s like it doesnt detect the hdd at reboot.

When you boot and load the KBE, at the main menu, look at the footer.
It has to say Boot Mode: UEFI.
Do you see that?
Also,when you go to the Image Details Page from Deployments: System Images.

in the footer of the KBE its LEGACY BIOS. Not UEFI (Do i have to modify the KBE or its the way we boot in the KBE?
sysprep is at yes on the image details
