Computer restarts

After installing I was prompted to update the browser by Firefox. Before I did this I opened my existing version of Firefox to check the version number. After closing the old version I reopened the Secure Browser version and this caused my computer to restart.

After the restart I updated the Secure Browser Firefox and it prompted me to restart it. After it restarted I closed it and tried to open it again and my computer rebooted again.

Have uninstalled it. Too inconvenient for me.

Chris,

In all my testing, I have never seen this. And you are the first to report this.

What operating system are you running, and what Add-Ons are installed for Firefox. What version of Firefox do you have installed?

Trey, I may be able to shed some light here, I was going to mention it after we get the secure browser working for me.

It appears to create a mess when you download Secure Browser with an existing FF browser like I did at first. I had FF 5.0, but the 3.6 Dell download caused my 5.0 FF browser to revert back to 3.6 as well.

That created an even bigger mess, because I had a 5.0 version of Bartab keeping about 250 tabs at bay from the CPU. The change to 3.6 caused that version of Bartab to malfunction, which caused all 250 tabs to try to load at once. "Crash City", LOL......

I would discourage anyone from trying to download Dell Secure Browser with another version of FF already loaded. FF does not "play well with others", LOL....

It would also appear that leaving one's FF history intact before the Dell load can create a problem as well. It did for me. It loaded all 250 tabs I had up before, with the same resultant crash, and caused Dell FF to load as version 3.6.13 instead of 3.6.

After deleting everything again, and the FF history, Dell FF loaded normally with 3.6, and no tabs open.

I just haven't been able to get a toolbar.
