You're in luck in that I've had to revisit the intake doc for this package today. This is what I added to our documentation back then:

The installation can be packaged using the Vendor MSI in the source
When installing this msi silently, you will have to supply the full ADDLOCAL parameter on the command line, otherwise not all necessary files will be installed which will result in an incomplete install.

To have the correct ADDLOCAL parameter do the following:
- Install the application manually on a machine, selecting the option to write an install log
- After install open this install log (in C:\Program Files\Business Objects\BusinessObjects Enterprise 12.0\Logging\) and look though it for the value of the ADDLOCAL parameter
- The full list of installed features can be found in the install log this way
- When doing a silent install of the msi, add the ADDLOCAL=… parameter to the msiexec.exe command line

This will make sure all the required features are installed during a silent install.

Perhaps your issue is another symptom of this installer's 'special' behaviour.

Kind regards,

PJ

Hello pjgeutjens,

Thnx for your reply.I have also noticed that there is problem with ARP repair also.Since it has nested lang MSI during repair all the files won't appear even though the InstallExecuteSequence tab is properly conditionalized.I think i need to add ADDLOCAL prop to cmd repair /f
