Help fixing my Dell LCD Monitor
Dell LCD Monitor turns black after minutes; light still green. Bad transistors on the monitor's motherboard. Where do I get replacements to solder on, and does anyone have any tips for the application?
I have no issue getting inside, and getting my hands dirty, but before I did, I hoped someone could point me to where transistors could be bought to replace the bad ones... and what the best practice was for replacement.

Could it just be one of the bulbs going out? From what you describe the same thing happened to my 22" I bought new bulbs for it. These are a lot easier to replace on some LCDs. If it's LED-LCD you have to replace the whole screen.
have a good de-soldering tool to remove the bad transistors, hopefully you have done some electronics repair, the size of your soldering iron is critical to the work you are doing. You need enough wattage to quickly heat the connections but not to much to fry the CCA or component being replaced. Are you talking the 3 legged transistors or IC transistors?
