Dell micro 7040 PC

When some of ours users locked their PC their resolution changes. Restarting the PC seems to resolve the issue but this seems to be an ongoing issue. We've tried updating the bios and the video card but periodically the issue arises again. Anyone else experience this issue?

This isn't an answer to your question. But I have 180 of these in my environment and this is not an issue. Majority of these are plugged into via mini dp to dp on Dell P2715Q and some are dual monitor with hdmi too. A few of them are going through Crestron/SVSI switchers and video walls. On the video wall's I've had to load or update the correct EDID table a few times. But unrelated to the pc. Monitor issues in that case. As soon as the correct EDID table was put back, the pc recognized the available resolutions.

When it happens, do you have a choice to choose the correct resolution, or does it disappear altogether, until a reboot?

Anything else to help? All same cables? Are they admins on the machine? My users are not.

When ever the user locks their screen and walks away the resolution changes when they hit  ctrl+alt+del, we then have to manually set it back, sometimes when selecting the correct resolution and applying it doesn't change at all, in that case we have to reboot the machine and that resolves the issue.
