Deploy Surface Pro Firmware/Driver updates through Kace
So apparently Microsoft has not devised a way to allow Surface Pro firmware and driver updates to work with WSUS and from what I have read it does not work that well with SCCM or InTune either. Just curious if anyone manages surface pros in their environment on a domain that typically deploys through WSUS and if so how do you get the driver and firmware updates to it. I was hoping someone had some tips on how to do this in KACE.

And get a update pack from Microsoft and it has MSI files and ZIP files and all sorts of good stuff but the methods of deploying all seem to want to use some PowerShell script. I was going to experiment in KACE deploying this but thought I would reach out here to see if anyone has any tips or hints to speed up the process as I have about 50 Surface Pro 3's deployed that are probably behind on firmware updates. I have tried informing my teachers to just periodically check online for updates but that gets me a bunch of blank faces.

We use those driver packs in conjunction with DPInst and it seems to work well with the Surface Pro 3, though strangely not with the Surface 3. We don't use WSUS in this scenario, we have a post-install task of sorts that maps to a server share where the drivers and firmware reside and calls DPInst to scan and install.
