Deploying IE 9

Hello, i have been having some issues deploying IE 9 to my users. Most of my systems took the upgrade but I have a few that are just refusing to install from KACE.

I have tried a couple with the manual install with both the EXE from MS and the MSI I created with IEAK and both fail. I cannot find anything in the registry that suggest the failure.

Any ides would be helpful.

  • Create a verbose log when using the MSI then look for the text "Return value 3". The few lines above the line containing this text will contain the name of the action which is failing. You can work backwards from there.

    Can you please remove some of the spurious tags from your post? In fact, you should probably start again, since the post has nothing to do with 'Announcements' (!!), 'Supporting Linux', 'Supporting Windows', 'Hardware' (!!!!), etc., etc. - anonymous_9363 10 years ago
