Did you find MMS 2013 to be less than exciting?

This is more a conversation starter and maybe missplaced. If so I apologize as the NewB. But did anyone else go to MMS in Vegas and find it lacking in any news, announcements, excitement or futures? Dissapointing.

Did you also notice that there was no mention of what next year's MMS will be? Is this the last of MMS as we know it?

There was quite a bit about futures, but those came in the sessions themselves. As for news and announcements, MMS is not really about that. MMS is a peer, community conference, providing real-world content to help attendees with the products.  That said, this was not an announcement year. There will be some new announcements at TechEd, but SP1 for System Center was released quite a while ago, so this event was about implementing and using it.

This is not the last MMS, I promise. More will be available on that front soon. Stay tuned to the community (myITforum) for that announcement.

  • Very interesting Rod. Thanks for the teaser. Since we were in Vegas; I am a betting man and I would bet that it is not the last MMS as well. But I "bet" next year it's not run by MSFT... Exciting! - seando40 10 years ago
