We have the agent installed on both operating systems. They appear as separate systems in KACE, which means they also count as two licenses. As we have deployed more and more dual boot systems over the past two years we have had to increase our license count appropriately.

Hello,

it depens what you want to obtain.

If you like to have the inventory of the machine with all the softwares instalelled on each operative system you will need to consume a license for every separate operative system installed on the machine.

If you are interested only to the hardware inventory you can try to syncronize the KUID (Kace GUID) of the machine for each the operative systems installed on the device.

This value for Windows 7 64bit under the registry key HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Dell\Kace and it is called MachineId

You can try to set the MachineID to the same value on all the OS that you have on the machine.

Remember that the Software inventory you will obtain for these machine will not be so accurate because every time will change with the one of the OS that is currently on.
