Email from for service desk showing email address, not queue name

Hey Everyone,

I'm not exactly sure how to word this, but I have several queues that I'm using, but the email address of the queue is coming through instead of the name of the queue "ie. Company Helpdesk".  Right now I am using a SMTP relay server, as it seems that it is usually the best way to work.  Does anyone have it working with a relay server, and what do I do to get it to work?

In the "Service Desk › Configuration › Service Desk Queue Email Settings -> YourQueueName"

You can set the  "Alternate Email Address (Email Alias): " to change the from field on outgoing emails from the Service Desk queue.

  • Whenever I change it, I just get The "Alt. Email Address" field is invalid.
    • What is the email address you use?
      • I have the regular email address as servicedesk@k1000.company.com
        the secondary I had as servicedesk@companyemail.com
