Systems Management Question

Embedded graphics not included in email

05/08/2020 266 views

I added the logo that we have at the top of the screen in KACE to an email and while it displays fine in the email editor in KACE it does not show in the actual delivered email. In outlook I get a red X and there is no hyperlink in it.  If I just paste the same path Im using in the email into a web browser it displays fine. So access is fine, the path is fine.. I think the path is kaceserver/packages/.

This same thing happens when I past HTML from word with graphics into a knowledgebase article.  The graphics display fine in the editor and in fact the images are even uploaded as attachments but same thing.. red X in outlook.

Anyone have any ideas?

  • What version of the SMA?
What email client was used to send the email to the SMA?

What is the path the email takes going to the SMA ? Gmail, Office 365...etc

I assume you are taking about emails going to the SMA. If this is incorrect please add additional details.
  • SMA - goes through office365 smtp. Its is outgoing email out of KACE.. so for example, a comment email.. images are removed. KACE remoted in to day and said it is a known problem. Awesome.
