Ghosting a domain controller to gain more space...?

We have a domain controller running Server 2000 SBS. The previous IT support created a mirrored 3.9 gig system partition and 140 gig RAID-5 data drive. For some odd reason they left 12 gigs of unallocated space on the system drive, we are running very low and have been for awhile on the C drive. What I want to do is perform some kind of ghost operation of the partition and instead of restoring it to the partition, restore it to the drive to gain that extra 12 gigs. Is this feasible? What problems could I run into?

TIA
Mike

Ghost is good for a backup.

My solution could be ghosting the complete machine, as in a backup.

Then use a tool to resize te disk. This is possible though dynamic disks, or a tool like pqmagic.

So you think I should ghost the system drive just incase. Then use partition magic to move the spare 12 gigs over? How would that work with it being a mirrored drive?
