How can I obtain a putty cm source code?

Hello,

I'm a maintanace engineer with 3 year experience and a student finishing a masters degree. During my studies and during my work I have found putty cm to be the best tool for managing putty connections - tabs, keyboard shortcuts and putty support makes this tool quite useful every day.

Sometimes there occur critical exceptions that make putty cm to close and disconnect all open connections, which is unwanted behaviour in my work. I would like to debug them and adjust the code just a little, to remove those glitches.

Is there a way I could obtain the putty cm source code to perform some debugging?

Best regards,

Peter

  • I have found that page, but is "puttyman" the same project as "Putty Connection Manager" written by Damien Rigoudy?

My crashes occured for example when I was trying to sort things on the list the way I like :) I know it is some minor issue, but I would like to correct it. - elrender 11 years ago
    • I believe so, the other sites that have puttycm.exe availble to download reference back to that site. that was the only one I could find for that software, also found a linkedin url you can ping him to see if he is the right person

      • I will try to check and compile the code and I will post if I find some relevant information. - elrender 11 years ago
  • Any luck in getting the source code? When the Putty Connection Manager WWW was still up, he said he was going to release it as open source on sourceforge. This never happened and the web site and support forums have been dead for many years. Hopefully you had better luck as I (and I'm sure many others) use PCM every day. I'd really like to see it developed further. - JCDinPGH 11 years ago
    • Sadly no. Puttyman repository was empty, when I tried to download a source code. The only way to get it is to contact somehow the author - Damien Rigoudy. - elrender 11 years ago
