01/15/2013 6114 views

i would like to use the "Check File Version" method in my KACE script to verify if a file's verision is less than the one i want to install. I typed in the version that I see under properties in windows explorer but i think that is not what the kace agent reads. How can i view the file version via the KACE agent so i an use it in the script?

  • You get more or less options based on what operating system and script type you select when creating the script. In this case, its probably an online script for 'Windows.

You can create a custom software inventory item

FileVersionLessThan(path, version)

and apply a label and run a script based on that label
