How can i use the check file version method in KACE

i would like to use the "Check File Version" method in my KACE script to verify if a file's verision is less than the one i want to install. I typed in the version that I see under properties in windows explorer but i think that is not what the kace agent reads. How can i view the file version via the KACE agent so i an use it in the script?

  • You get more or less options based on what operating system and script type you select when creating the script. In this case, its probably an online script for 'Windows. - jknox 11 years ago

You can create a custom software inventory item

FileVersionLessThan(path, version)

and apply a label and run a script based on that label
