How to Deploy Windows 7 Service Pack 1 at Minimal Amount of Time?

08/28/2014 2634 views

Hi,

I have 50 PCs which I need to install with minimal amount of time. Installation from our LAN is not option as it will affect the network utilization. As such I tried to develop a script for silent installation for the installation to be done locally but it didn't turn out as what I wanted.

What I want is to create a script for silent installation with automation which will need an answer file. I'm not really familiar in creating a script & in fact this is my first time doing it.

Looking forward to hear your thoughts.

Thanks

DMN

You can download lots of help from the Microsoft website - the deployment toolkit and the automated installation kit, which includes copious documentation. That is where I would recommend you start.

Have you prepared a specification for what you want to include in the build?

If you're new to Sysprep then I also recommend this blog post:

It runs through using Sysprep and explains all of the details.
