How to resolve ICE 57 Error
I need tips to resolve ICE 57 error
I have a component which has registry entries in HKCR and HKCU and no registry entries in HKLM but still I get ICE 57 error as the component has both registry entries in HKCU and HKLM.
Any advice as to how to resolve this issue.

hi,
create a new component and move the HKCR to it then set any keys of that as its new keypath.. then go to the original component producing the ice57 error and set one of the HKCU key as the keypath..
btw.. hkcr is a part of hklm.. hklm\software\classes

Thanks for your quick response.
After creating the new component and moveing all the HKCR registries to the new component i still get the ICE57 error for the old component.
Right now the old component has only registries under HKCU and no registries under HKLM and HKCR.

what is your keypath for the component producing the ice57 error? try using one of your hkcu reg as keypath
