I am looking to create a ticket rule for a new ticket....that upon save changes the status to open. I have done a bit of searching but cannot find anything that fits. Can someone point me to an article if it exists?

Trying to avoid the forgetful factor.

This should be easy enough to create using the rules wizard. Did you try creating it and run into a problem?

Why not make the default value Opened for every ticket if that is the case so you don't need a ticket rule.
