Install Extracting Installers?

I'm sure this is a basic question, but how can I use KACE to install an installer exe that that is self extractor? At present, I'm trying to install such a program (GeoHecras if anyone is familiar with it), and it seems to be extracting the file but not running the installer.

Amy suggestions?

That is probably because you are calling the file that extracts in the command line so it extracts, but you actually need to call the install command line.

I’m not entirely sure how to do that with the original file, you may be better off using a script, calling the extract and then calling the installation.

Alternatively if you extract the files and then zip all the extracted files up into a zip file (use a proprietary zip product not a windows zip and call it with a .zip extension) you can then call the install file in the Managed Installation command line as KACE will copy down the zip file and unzip it before running the installation.
