Inventory for this software is not accurate.
Having an issue with one peice of software that keeps removing and adding itself almost every time the machine runs a computer inventory.
Any idea how to stop this from happening?

I can't read the log you posted, but my first guess would be that you have a Managed Installation or script running to deploy this software and the software gets updated somehow after installation. When the computer checks back in the versions don't match what you are deploying and the kbox uninstalls the differing version and pushes your deployment again.

Thanks for the reply, but that is not the case here. This software has been logging all of these entries since we installed the first KACE Agent. Here's a sample:
Software item ProSystem fx Practice Management 2011.11.03 removed from inventory.

This is happening on all PCs in our domain that have this software installed. Most are Win 7 SP1, but it's also happening on XP SP3 systems as well.
Most recent version of K1000 and Kace agent. It was also happening with the older version 5.2 of the everything.

The issue is actually with a registry value from here:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall
Kace tech support said that this issue is usually caused by an extra space in the "DisplayName" value. My issue was a little different, I had a carriage return after the "DisplayVersion" value. Still waiting to here back from Kace with the best way to look for and/or change this value - I'll post a summary after everything is tested and resolved. - baist111 11 years ago
