Is it possible to create an email alert for a SQL Security Account that has Password Expiration enabled and to send that alert prior to actual password expiration?

Is it possible to create an email alert for a SQL Security Account that has Password Expiration enabled and to send that alert prior to actual password expiration? This would be for a local SQL security account, not a Windows AD account. 

Unsure how to do this or if possible. This would be for SQL Server 2016 Standard.
