Is the Progress message a requisite for a Completion message?

I am setting up the Notify section of a patch deploy schedule. If I enter an Initial message and a Completion message but leave the Progress message blank, the Completion message is blank after I save the changes. If I populate all 3, everything is fine. If I go back and erase the Progress message, the Completion message is blank again.

I am almost certain this was not the case in the past. I want to notify the users of the start and finish of the patch job, but not keep a nagging progress message on screen during the deployment. Is this a bug perhaps?

Sounds like a new undocumented feature (Bug!!)

you should be able to use any of those messages in isolation, with no dependencies, so I suggest you log this with support so they are aware.
