Is there a way to blacklist Systems?

Hello,

we are using Kace 1000 and provision agent based on IP Range scan.

The Problem is that our automatically provisioned XenApp Server need to use DHCP but we do not want to have them KACE Agents running.
The all could be identified by their system Name XAPP*.

My question is if there would be a way to kind of blacklist those name so the agent never is installed to those systems.

Thanks

Mike

You can manually assign (reserve) an ip number in the dchp server settings for each server, make them outside your scan range. The xenapp servers will still request an ip from DHCP but always get the same one.

  • Yes, that was my first thought as well - but there is no way to know which MAC Adresse those newly created XenAPP Server will get. Well - there seems to be a way - but i was looking for a easy one click solution :) - mikt 10 years ago

Currently there is no capability on the K1 to put exceptions in provisioning. That can be an enhancement request.

You could use the option to provision by IP addresses or hostname so that they are excluded. Both are available under Advanced Provisioning. Though I think that SMal.tmcc has a good option as well.
