Software Deployment

This is more a question than a tip. Has anyone found a way to disable the next generation plugin without ripping out the files for the next gen plugin. I tried the registry key which apparently doesn't work. Can't completely disable java because they need it here for web apps however next gen plugin breaks some of their web apps. At this point I only see two solutions rip the files out for next gen plugin or have user manually disable it.

We are deploying 1.7.0u51 32bit
