K1000 and thin clients

Is anyone out there installing the K1000 agent on thin clients for management?  Do you have them siloed in a seperate org?  We're considering doing this, but we are nervous about the tiny hard drives potentially filling up.  It seems the best mitigation for that problem is to have them in a seperate org.  Any thoughts or Personal experiance would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
~awingren

KACE is untested on any OS such as XP embedded

  • I do have a client that is running (with some issues) on XP embedded but would be interested in your results too if you have time to post them. Good Luck! - jdornan 11 years ago

The agent will also run on embedded Win7, but as jdornan mentioned, it's has not been tested nor is it supported.  Things like patching won't work because no embedded OS is in the patch feed.

  • Patching worked for us with a few thin clients that accidentally got the KACE client deployed to them by group policy. It caused the tiny drive to quickly fill up with patches. - awingren 11 years ago
