K1000 Dell Updates Catalogue is unable to update...

Hi

We really havent used our Dell updates since setting up our K1000 system so I decided to set it up I was able to successfully run an inventory update, then I tried to update the catalogue the catalogue successfully updates the Dell server Updates but when it starts updating the dell client updates catalogue it sits on the status of Updating it stayed like this for over 48 hours, I tired running it again with no lukc the second time. I have also noticed I cant seem to get any updates to download. Can anyone shared some light on how I can trouble shoot this or maybe reset the catalogue.

Cheers

Jon

contact the support, as this seems to be the client update patching misleaded feature occured in 5.4SP1 (may also be affect older versions)

They will help you to apply this patch.

Also check if there are some error messages in the logs too.

Please also verify via the Server Update Logs, if the patch ran before. (in that case it is not applicable)

  • Hi Nico, Thanks for the reply we are running 5.4.7 is this still going to be affected? - mccabes 11 years ago
  • if you still on 5.4.70402 please update first to 5.4.76847 (won't fix the issue, but needed for many things)
Hopefully you did not use the patch which was mentioned in the KB which was updating your box to 5.4.76848, as this may be a problem. - Nico_K 11 years ago
  • Hi Nico

    http://www.kace.com/en-AU/support/resources/kb/article/steps-to-download-and-upgrade-dell-kace-k1000-appliance-software-to-version-5-4

is this the right Article to follow? My K1000 is telling me it is up to date, I am assuming this update would not be picked up normally through update function?

cheers - mccabes 11 years ago
