Best Practices

I am currently using the K1000 on version 6.4. I am trying to make a smart patch label for Java where only recent versions of Java and up are included. For instance, I want only Java updates of version 8 and up. The label I had already configured would install all versions of Java; 6, 7, and 8, which we do not want. I don't see anything that lets me select version specific versions when configuring search criteria for the label. Anyone know how to achieve this or perhaps is there a better practice that doesn't include old versions?
