K2000 and Partition/Format of SSD Harddrive

Guys

Having problems with my Windows 7 deployment on SSD laptops.

I was able to build the laptop once with Windows 7 , but now I get problems installing windows 7 as it says that it was unable to create a new system partition

the installer can see the harddrive and all its free space (248gigs)

This is the XPS 13 laptop which I had problems PXE booting , but I got that part resolved.

hello , I got this fixed

Its all to do with USB3 port - if i boot off the usb2 port , windows installs fine.

Mental....

  • I read that yesterday in CBlake's newsletter. Thankfully we do not have any of those. Sounds like I'm missing out though. - dugullett 11 years ago
  • Add the usb 3 drivers to the boot environment and you can use those ports - SMal.tmcc 11 years ago

Can you manually run the DISKPART commands in the recovery console?

Comments:
  • yes, nothing to do with that....it seems its see the external USB drive (although it does not display this in diskpart or windows 7 setup) - FergieMan 11 years ago
