KACE 6.0 System Deployment Appliance : Task Query
Hi,
Is there any KB articles that can explain what each task that is available in pre-installation, mid-level and post installation does ? If this has been answered before, kindly direct me to the right thread.

there is no article which describes it for everything but if you open it there is a comment which is done.
As a raw rule of thumb:
The Pre Tasks are preparing the hard drive to install the OS - they run from the KBE (it is a WinPE), BEFORE the install is started (Example: diskpart script to create partitions)
The Mid Tasks finish the raw deployment of the OS - they run from the KBE, AFTER the install is done (Example: driver feed copies the drivers for the system to the installed OS so the OS can use them)
The Post Tasks are finishing the deployment and customize the OS - they run in the installed OS (Example: join a domain)
