Kace clients not checking in over VPN

HR says send people home. So we installed VPN and started sending people out the door with their desktops. Now, I noticed they are not checking in with inventory and I cannot push anything to them. I think it is DNS, but where can I look in a client to see where they are calling home to? Reg Key?

You can look at the C:\ProgramData\Quest\KACE\amp.conf for connection information.

Running the KAT (Kace Agent Toolkit) will assist you in collecting the Agent logs for review. The main two logs to review will be the konea.log and KAgent.log.

If you should decide to open a support ticket for this issue, please include the logs collected from the KAT program.

Have you checked that the right ports are open? I think you just need 443 for the agent to check in?

also-you need to make sure your appliance webserver name can be resolved in your DNS, just in case you have your agent setup via IP
