KACE Go - can't log in. Stuck at "Logging in ..."

So my coworker can log into KACE Go, but I can't.

Ours is http.  We VPN in to our network on our phone, pull up kace and put in http://kacehostname, credentials and boom.

I tested this out last year and it worked fine, same phone.  Not sure why my coworker could do it (she has an iPhone, I have a Galaxy S7), and I can't.  Our accounts are pretty similar. The only major change from last time I tested this is that we upgraded the SMA from 8.1 to 9.0 a few months ago.

I don't get any errors, just stuck at "Logging in ... " and it spins and spins and spins.  For my coworker, it comes right up.  If I navigate to the server through my phone's browser, it comes up just fine.  Would like to start trying the app as I work on implementing the service desk to our organization.  Any ideas?

Try deleting the app, then reinstalling from the playstore, but "holding your breath" whilst carrying this out is clearly not advisable ;o)

  • Yeah this is one of the first things I tried, but for the heck of it I uninstalled and reinstalled again today and still no luck. Same result. Just spinning on loading loading loading. Thanks though. - FujiMan 5 years ago
  • I had my coworker (who was successful on her phone) try mine, and she couldn't log in on my android either. Odd. - FujiMan 5 years ago
  • Well color me with a crayon. My VPN access changed somehow. I had RPD-only VPN access, so I added full access and now the app works fine, and I feel a dumb. Guess I'll leave this up in case anyone else makes the same mistake. - FujiMan 5 years ago
