KACE GPO tool

Hello Ninjas,

cAAAAAElFTkSuQmCC
How come I don't see the apparently, supplied, KACE GPO provisioning tool in my Configuration Policies? I look to be on the most current version. I think I have read, that's were it's supposed to be.

Thanks,

Cris

For some reason my Windows Server 2012 R2 machines are not seeing the KACE updates being sent to them...

The GPO tool can be found here.
https://support.quest.com/kace-systems-management-appliance/11.1/download-new-releases

This tool should be used only to deploy the Agent to devices that do not currently have an Agent installed.

If the device already has an Agent installed, use the Agent Auto Updates.

Use the Kace Agent Toolkit  (KAT) to collect Agent logs to troubleshoot your patching issue.
https://support.quest.com/kace-systems-management-appliance/kb/263376/using-the-kace-agent-toolkit-kat-kapture

Submit the logs collected by the KAT to KACE Support, if you open a support ticket.

  • Thanks very much KevinG. I have one follow-up question. I have my whole organization getting updates via KACE and have a company wide GPO pointing to a fake WSUS server for updates. This seems fine except on (7) 2012R2 machines and (2) 2016 servers. 80072ee2 is the common error on the 2012R2 machines the 2016 machines say: "We couldn't connect to the update service. We'll try again later, or you can check now. If it still doesn't work, make sure you're connected to the Internet." The 80072EE2 error message is a typical WSUS configuration error message.
For the life of me I can't see what makes the 2012R2 machines so different....
    Thanks
