Kace K1000 LDAP authentication with email address
Hi everybody,
I'm testing the K1000 appliance and I'd like to know if it's possible to use the email address as the connexion login for users when importing them from LDAP.
I've successfully imported my Active Directory users but I can't connect with the email address.
When I import them with the samacountname as the connexion login, it works perfectly.
Am I doing something wrong or is there a restriction ?

I have not tested this, but I think you would change where you specify "KBOX_USER" in the "Advanced Search" section of your Authentication Settings. E.G. maybe it would look like this:
(&(email=KBOX_USER)(CN=Users,DC=ad,DC=yourcompany,DC=com))
Again, I haven't tested this. Test it with a temp authentication rule for just one account first.
samacountname has to be your AD ID. - Channeler 5 years ago
