Kace Management Center Initial Konfiguration

Hi,

I was logged in to the application, looking around a little bit because we just installed it.
I go to another internet page (google or something else) and when I came back the page where I was on, switches to the page hereunder. I wasn't doing anything, just looking around. No settings have been changed.

There is no way I can go away from this page, even after doing "Apply Settings and Reboot". Cleand my internet cache, tried another computer, nothing helps...
What surprises me is that "Konfiguration" is not spelled correctly...

Does you vm have Internet access, and any proxies that could be blocking access?

If you login to the vm console view as user netdiag and the same password, you have access to some network tools. See if you can ping service.kace.com.

In the meanwhile, my manager sent a mail to the dell support and we got immediately an answer. They called us.
He explained what we were doing and they never heard of this problem before.
They replied that the software probably needs to connect to a certain server, but couldn't tell us which one and why.

Now, after a few hours, I refreshed the page again, still nothing. Then I tried "Apply Settings and Reboot" again, suddenly I get the message that the server applied the settings and will reboot, I need to refresh the page after a few minutes.
Now I can connect again.

I still find this a strange way to work. We will think about this problem before we will buy a license...

Scott is correct, it is service.kace.com

As for "konfiguration", you may find a lot of hard C's turned into K's when reading literature on the kbox -- I mean k1000. It's kuter when the appliance is working as well as it should be.

When on maintenance we (support) can tell you when your server was validated if you're curious.

Torgal,

I am looking into this issue with our Engineering team to find the root cause of the issue. If it happens again, can you please advise me?

Thanks,
Scott
